A recent survey by Robert Half of 200 HR directors found 55% of HR directors believe that social media platforms are an ineffective recruiting tool, or are not sure how effective it is, with only 30% using social media to find candidates.
If you look further into the survey you will see that 22% of the HR directors surveyed check the social media profiles of candidates, while 32% use it to communicate with candidates.
This trend is should give job seekers a hint to clean up their social media accounts and think twice about posting a picture/opinion that could be a “turn off” to potential employers.
